Silhouette is made by Artifact Creative Foundation. This policy covers the Silhouette app for macOS.
Silhouette does not collect, store, or transmit personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising.
Silhouette reads your camera to key out your backdrop. That processing happens on your Mac. The result goes only to the apps where you select the Silhouette camera, such as FaceTime or Zoom. Those apps handle the video under their own privacy policies.
Face tracking is off by default. When you turn it on, it runs on your Mac with Appleās Vision framework. The tracking data stays on your Mac. If you use a web page as a layer, that page receives the tracking data inside Silhouette so it can react to you. The data is not sent anywhere by Silhouette.
If you enter a web address as a background or foreground, Silhouette loads that page directly from its site, the same way a browser does. That site may receive your IP address and set cookies under its own privacy policy. Silhouette does not send any other information to it.
Images and movies you pick are read from your Mac. Silhouette remembers your recent choices in its own settings on your Mac so it can reopen them. Nothing is uploaded.
Silhouette does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
